The Amelia County Varsity Football team traveled to Charles City to face panthers on September 12, 2011. The Amelia Raiders won the game by a wide margin with the final score being Amelia 41, Charles City 0.

The Panthers held the Amelia County Raiders off on their first drive off the game, during which Jaelen Williams and Dominique Williams shared a tackled of Amelia quarterback A.J. Royal.  However, the Panthers were not able to hold off the potent Raider offense as Royal would come back on the second drive of the game with a touchdown run.  After the successful two point conversion, the Raiders were up 8-0.

The second quarter would be all Raiders as they would score 3 more unanswered touchdowns.  After a touchdown run by Donte Bournes and two more touchdown runs by A.J. Royal, the Raiders were up 28-0 at halftime.

In the 3rd quarter A.J. Royal continued to play well and connected on a passing touchdown to bring the lead up to 35-0.

In the 4th quarter Amelia’s backup QB Curtis Williams would run in for the final points of the night, bringing the shutout to 41-0.

The Raiders also blanked the Panthers in last years match by a score of 13 to 0.

The panthers struggled on both sides of the field against the Amelia Raiders.  The panthers were able to get in the red zone several times, but were unable to capitalize on those opportunities.  Panther wideouts Terrance Banks and Dominique Williams led Charles City on offense.  Banks had 81 yards receiving on four catches and Williams led all players with 108 yards on five catches.  QB Avery Jones had 198 yards passing on 13 of 25 completions, with one interception.  Charles City had 6 different players rush the ball, but totaled negative 10 yards on the night.  The panther defense was led by Justin Brown with 11 tackles and Cruz Adkins had 10 tackles.
